Shipping policy

All orders ship from our workshop in Finland with tracking.

Shipping costs
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination, before you pay.

Processing time
The scalpels are made daily and ship from stock. One-of-one knives ship once payment is confirmed. Commissioned knives ship when finished; see Commission a knife. You'll receive an email with a tracking link when your parcel leaves the workshop.

Duties and taxes
Within the EU there are no import duties. Orders shipped outside the EU may be subject to import duties and local taxes, which are set by the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility unless they are collected at checkout. For the United States, duties apply to parcels of any value since August 2025. We never under-declare package values.

Lost or damaged parcels
Please contact us at hotmetalknives@gmail.com straight away and we'll sort it out with the carrier.
