Knife Care:

Cleaning is very simple, use some dishwashing soap and a brush.

How they're made:

The heat treatment of this steel is outsourced to industry specialists. To 61hrc (tested), which includes cryo (cryogenic treatment). I then temper the tangs individually by hand using a torch. The heat never reaches the blade. This gives the blade all the hardness, and the tang the toughness. 

(I personally do the grinding, polishing, sharpening, handle making, sheath making, lanyard making... by hand.)

The grinding is strictly done under watercooled conditions using the highest quality abrasives. 

The handle has a total of three layers, with the final hand wrapped tsuka maki paracord layer infused in G-Flex to harden it. 

Additional Info:

The HMK Scalpel series is intended to be a very high quality edc minimalist knife. Most of the time, for most of us, we only really ever need a small and easily accessible knife for our daily tasks. However, for heavy duty work, a longer handle is necessary to allow you to efficiently transfer the force from your arm. The extended length of the handle is also quite familiar for crafty people. 

The knife is very light, and punches way above its weight class. Ideal for every day carry.
